How to replace the 2021–2024 Nissan Armada key fob battery
- Release the lock knob on the back of the Intelligent Key and pull out the mechanical key
- Lay a cloth over the case, push a small flat screwdriver into the slot at the corner and twist to split the two halves
- Take out the old cell, holding the new CR2025 by its edges only
- Fit the new CR2025 with the + side facing the bottom of the case
- Line up the tips of the two halves, press them together until they lock, then test the buttons
Confirmed in the 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Armada owner's manuals (Intelligent Key, CR2025). The CR2032 mentioned elsewhere in the manual is for the rear entertainment remote, not the key.
After you change the battery
- Press lock and unlock from a few metres away. The car should react on the first press.
- On push-button start cars, start the engine once with the fob in your pocket.

About the CR2025 battery
CR2025 is a 20 mm × 2.5 mm, 3 V lithium cell with a typical capacity of about 160 mAh. The same size is sold as DL2025, ECR2025, 5003LC. A CR2012 or CR2016 has the same diameter but is thinner, so it can fit loosely and runs down sooner. Stick with CR2025.
