Privacy policy
FobCells (fobcells.com) has no user accounts and no advertising trackers. This page explains the little we do collect.
What we collect
- Vehicle lookups we do not cover yet. When the finder has no answer, we record the year, make and model you picked, so we know which vehicles to add next. Nothing else is attached to it.
- Clicks on shop links. When you click a “Buy” link we record which battery, which page it was on, the referring page and the time. We do not record your IP address.
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact or “report an error” form we store what you type, including your name and email if you give them.
Cookies
FobCells itself does not set cookies. Our network provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from abuse.
Amazon and other retailers
FobCells is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies and collect information under its own privacy notice, so it can credit the referral. We do not receive your name, address or what else you buy.
Service providers
- Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks. It processes your IP address to do so.
- Hostinger hosts the server and database.
How long we keep data
Lookup and click records are kept for up to 24 months to understand demand. Messages are kept until they are dealt with and no longer needed, and for no more than 24 months.
Your choices
You can use the whole site without giving us any personal information. To ask us to delete a message you sent, or to ask any privacy question, use our contact form.
Children
FobCells is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
